Naturopathic Doctors can order a wide range of Lab tests in Ontario. While these tests are not covered by OHIP, some are covered under your Extended Benefits Plan.
Naturopathic Doctors in BC can order a wider range of tests than we can in Ontario, please check with me to make sure we are able to order the test you are looking for before booking an initial consultation with me. If the specific test you are looking for isn’t available for naturopathic doctors to order, there is a possibility of working with our medical doctor to help facilitate this testing.
Naturopathic Doctors can also order a range of tests that Medical Doctors do not order. Mostly these tests get sent to the US or other Canadian Provinces to be tested. Examples of the types of testing done include:
- Salivary Hormone Testing
- Dried Urine Hormone Testing
- Hair Mineral Analysis
- Neurotransmitter Testing
- Food Allergy Testing
- Heavy Metal Toxicity Testing
